Continuous training to strengthen the quality culture

18/02/2021

The control over operations and the improvement of performance rely on the understanding and impregnation of good manufacturing practices in the field. Therefore, providing continuous training to the teams is one of the effective means of ensuring the company’s success. Indeed, training to critical processes helps to clarify and implement methodologies to predict and reduce unwanted events.

At Seqens, despite the COVID-19 crisis, the trainers have organized themselves to maintain the training sessions and carry them out remotely thanks to the available tools.

In 2020, nearly 6,000 hours of training were provided by the Corporate Quality & Regulatory department to the 20 GMP / ISO sites. These training sessions covered quality topics such as managing audits or CAPAs, handling quality deviations (root cause investigations) OOS, as well managing product recalls or product returns in case of necessity; Training sessions also covered different types of regulatory files (Drug Master Files). These training courses come in addition to the many others carried out directly by the sites internally or with the help of specialized service providers.

The effectiveness of trainings has been verified, and management was able to quickly see that the tools were well used and the processes well implemented on the sites, with, for example, a reduction in the number of deviations, or through the successful organization of mock recalls.

These continuous training courses enable the harmonization of practices and compliance with GMP or other quality requirements in order to adjust the level of quality expected by the authorities and customers.
