Optimising nature for advanced peptide solutions

PeptiCode™ HP-9 is the first European biotech Hexapeptide-9, developed through the PeptiCode™ biotechnology platform based in France. This platform specialises in the optimisation of various microorganisms – such as bacteria, yeast, and microalgae – through strain engineering and fermentation technologies, in order to unlock access to sustainable, naturally-derived, bio-identical sequence peptides.

PeptiCode™ HP-9 is created via precision fermentation, harnessing the power of an optimised microorganism to synthetise a pure, 100% natural origin and bio-identical hexapeptide-9. SEQENS’ process ensures high performance and optimal peptide stability without using TFA (trifluoroacetic acid) or PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) during production and complies with the principles of Green Engineering.

PeptiCode ™ HP-9

Collagen Booster &
Drop in Replacement

PeptiCode™ HP-9 is an hexapeptide-9 with the sequence Glycyl-L-prolyl-Lglutaminylglycyl-L-prolyl-L-glutamine (or Gly-Pro-Gln-Gly-Pro-Gln or GPQGPQ).

It is a peptide present inside the amino acid sequence of type 4 and 17 collagen.

As we age,the synthesis of collagen diminishes, especially type 1 and 4 collagen, resulting in weakened skin structure and wrinkle formation. PeptiCode™ HP-9 is a signal peptide that stimulates collagen synthesis.

Era of anti aging peptides

Plethora of peptides of cosmeceutical interest developed through synthetic and biotech processes.

Thanks to their versatility and synthetic production, peptides are now widely used in anti-aging products. Additionally, conscious consumers seek out more and more ingredients that are both sustainable and effective, fuelling the movement toward more scientific beauty solutions, innovative ingredients, and biotechnology.Peptides have become essential in cosmetics since their introduction in 1973 with the collagen-boosting peptide GHK (Gly-L-His-L-Lys). In 2025, anti-aging represented 48% of the peptide synthesis market application share*.
