Introduction
Phenol is used for the manufacturing of bisphenol A, an intermediate product of polycarbonate and epoxy resins. Phenol also finds widespread use as a raw material for phenolic resinsfor, caprolactam (raw material for nylon 6 fiber and nylon 6 resin)s and is a precursor for other areas of application; from insulation, coatings or food additives.
