Gold recognition for Novapex

Novapex reaches the gold level following the assessment of his CSR policy by EcoVadis.

The Novapex team (Performance chemicals division) is delighted to announce that the company achieved a gold level following the assessment of its performance in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR) by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis is a global leader for Corporate Social Responsibility assessment and has expanded quickly with 25.000 companies assessed. EcoVadis combines technology and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expertise to deliver simple and reliable supplier scorecards, covering 150 purchasing categories and 21 CSR criteria.

Following several customer’s requests and in line with a continuous improvement of all aspects of business operations, Novapex applied for EcoVadis’ assessment, which covered Novapex approach to environment, social, ethics and supply chain challenges and reviewed performance. A multidisciplinary team was set up, composed of quality, safety/environment/healthy specialists, human ressources, and purchasing departments. This outcome of the process achieved a score of 72 points, synonymous with a gold level, the highest in the EcoVadis’ system.

Novapex scored 70 which represents only 3% of companies applying for assessment

The Ecovadis CSR recognition level depends on the applicant’s score and a Gold award applies to ratings between 61 and 100. Novapex was achieved above 70 points, which represents only 3% of companies applying for assessment, by the platform. The methodology is built on international CSR standards including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000; covering 150 spend categories and 140 countries. Thanks to its main activities, EcoVadis has a significant positive impact on society. The assessment method is based on 21 criteria and 4 areas (environment, labour practices and human rights, fair business practices and supply chain practices).

The Novapex team is proud of this result. The EcoVadis methodology allows Novapex to externally independently validate and highlight their policies, procedures and processes, which are in firmly embedded in the company covering corporate and social responsibility.
