WHAT IS DIMETHYL ADIPATE?

Dimethyl Adipate is a low toxicity, low odour, non VOC, readily biodegradable solvent that can be used in a variety of applications including agrochemicals, polymer intermediates, screening creams and lotions.

Applications

In Cosmetics, Dimethyl Adipate can be used as an emollient to give a soft feel to the skin,  a solvent to dissolve other ingredients, or as a plasticizer to help disperse other ingredients.

Applications include creams, lotions and nail care products.

Dimethyl adipate is used in agrochemicals as a raw material in the manufacture of several active ingredients such as Lenacil, Metconazole, Ipconazole.

It can be used as a cleaning solvent in blends with other low vapour pressure solvents.
