Why use ChemoxyCare® 5?

ChemoxyCare 5 is used primarily in skincare, colour cosmetics, hair products, Soap and bath products – it even has applications in shaving, feminine hygiene, medical skin treatments and even house care applications such as dishwashing.

In the cosmetics area

ChemoxyCare 5 is excellent skin moisturizer. It is a clear, colourless liquid with very low odour soluble in water and cosmetic esters.

  • It reduces emulsion particle size to achieve better stability and improves formulation aesthetics.
  • ChemoxyCare 5 works synergistically with preservatives and enhances the bioavailability of cosmetic actives.
  • It is also a Humectant
  • Improves skin feeling and soothes irritated skin
  • Improves water resistance of sun protection formulations
  • Stabilizes formulations (effective as surfactant / solubilizer)
  • Has antimicrobial effect (Inhibition of growth of microorganism and booster of other preservatives)
  • It is completely water miscible
  • It has a low melting point

Other applications

ChemoxyCare 5 has other applications, most notably in the synthesis of Propiconazole, a systemic foliar fungicide with protective and curative, broad range activity for control of diseases from various pests, brought to market by Syngenta in 1983, and still in use today.

Other uses include Inkjet formulations, various surface polish formulations.
