Intermediate for the synthesis of perfuming agents
AdvensCare PPA is a white crystalline carboxylic acid with a sweet floral scent. It is widely used for flavoring, food additives, spices, fragrances, and medicines as it acts as a fixative agent, or a preservative.
It is especially used as an intermediate for the synthesis of 3-phenylpropionic acid esters such as:
- Ethyl-3-propionate: hyacinth, rose, honey, fruity, nuts
- Methyl-3-propioate: floral, balsamic, honey, nuts
These esters are used at low levels in floral and oriental type-fragrances.
