Mrs. Géraldine Masson is rewarded with “Novacap Prize of the French Académie des sciences”

L’Académie des Sciences awards the prize to Géraldine Masson on the initiative of new and particularly effective methods in the field of catalysis, mainly organic. . Mrs Masson is research director of 2nd class at the CNRS, at the Institute of Chemistry of Natural Substances of Gif-sur-Yvette.

Her researches make it possible to prepare, quickly with excellent yields and in a very smoothly way, many polyfunctional molecules.
By her fundamental studies, Géraldine Masson was able to explain the reaction mechanisms involved and extrapolate them to new applications involving hetero-elements.
